Bramley Fall Park

1/2

Background info

Bramley Fall Woods and Park is just over a mile in diameter and located off the Leeds Bradford Road (B6157) on the edge of Bramley, a suburb in the inner west of the city. The wood follows the curve of the River Aire and Leeds Liverpool Canal, the latter giving you access to the wood from the canal path at Forge Lock.

Scheme proposals

The proposals for Bramley Fall Park consist of improvements to the play provision and broader landscape and infrastructure enhancements.

The following are initial proposals which we would like to hear your feedback on.

* Please note that all images are for illustrative purposes only.

  • New wildflower area and tree planting proposed to enhance the long views through the park and add biodiversity.  Picnic benches will offer rest areas and the opportunity to meet family and friends.
  • New seasonal bulb planting along the main road to enhance the view of the park.

  • Bridleway surface to be scraped and topped up where necessary.
  • Proposed groups of standard tree planting scattered around the green space.

  • Route to the station to be formalised with new signage and footpath surfacing.
  • Car park to be fully repaired and resurfaced.   Existing metal fencing to be repainted, new welcome sign and map of park installed along with new entrance barriers to make it feel more welcoming for visitors.
  • Parking to the side of Pollard Lane to be surfaced and formalised.
